No. No it won't. Snow tires + Corvette = all the car you need as a single male.

If it doesn't, it better be making room for these two.

I've got an opinion. I'll keep it to myself.

No I won't. Get rid of the Sonic. Acquire Vette. You'll lurv it.

The C5 Z06 factory titanium exhaust sounds better IMO. No doubt the C5Z is a great value though. Every man should own a Corvette at least once in their life.

I want to...but I need space too, and I owe too much money on the Sonic for a swap to be smart right now. I'm keeping my eyes and options open though...maybe next year?

That's the plan although I'll stick to non Z06 to get the targa top and save a little money.

The C5 is an awesome car though, although they aren't as good as the C6. They are still fast on the straights and in the corners if set up well.

I wish there were some within any distance of me...there's one road that drives under a runway and has a sort of tunnel, anytime I'm near it I go through.

I knew you were going to pull this out on me.....

Get a new hobby! Or just focus more on the car aspect.

Too many hobbies...

The real issue here is I started autocrossing, then drove a Porsche. Now I want a sports car. If I hadn't autocrossed, I would have been blissfully unaware...

I know the feeling. It takes a big leap of faith once you get used to a warranty and seats. I know it can't be too different with the C5, but I can pack my car incredibly full, so there's space...even if it isn't for people. I've got a picture of what my car looked like when I drove up for the GP of Indy a few weeks ago: suitcase, laptop bag, 2 camera bags (1 backpack sized) bag of dog stuff, bag of dog food, dog gate, 2 cases of beer, printer. And then a 55lb dog in the front seat.

The only drawback to the car, and using it as a daily (which I haven't for a few weeks since it's still in Indy and I'm in NC) is that it becomes a lot less "special." But, it's something I'm ok with.

No, I need space . As in 'the Sonic barely fits my needs'

Kinja'd!!!

^I still have two more planes that I don't even have in here.

My plan is to trade the Sonic for a C4 or C5 and a Tahoe or Suburban or other midsize/fullsize SUV. It'll probably be another year though before I can do that.

Ah. Honestly, a GMT800 Denali has kind of been on my want list for awhile. My beater is a GMT400 (88-98 generation) extended cab that's just starting to get a little worn out. And by that I mean the body is returning to the earth at an alarming rate.

False. I had this thought once. There's a bit of a ground clearance issue with any snow. Just ask the drifted snow on the country road in Indiana I came across in March of last year. Wasn't good. Wasn't good at all.

There are guys that do it. And I wanted to be one of those guys when I got my first wild hair up my ass about buying one. I bought the car in February 2012. When I brought it home (central Illinois), we had an early spring, but there was still salt on the ground, and the car sat more than it was driven for the first couple weeks I had it. It was then parked from November 2012-March 2013. I think I drove it 2x in that entire timeframe, including the drifted snow incident. I moved to NC in September of last year, and guess what, they brine the hell out of the roads here, so I drove it 2x from December - February.

Salt literally ruins everything here in NY. Any sports car driving is put to bed even before the snow starts.
